Since 1993, this Samaritan's Purse project has shared the Good News of God's love with hurting children through the simplest of gifts—shoe boxes! Filled with school supplies, toys, and personal items that are packed by caring people, these boxes help introduce children to Jesus Christ. Local believers follow up with evangelistic programs, and many precious boys and girls later receive Jesus as their Savior. You pick up a bottle at the missions table, fill it up with loose change, cash or checks and bring it back by the due date. The money collected goes to the Pregnancy Care Center, where they use it to provide neccessities to those facing challenging pregnancies and decisions. SERVE - SE Faithful Feet DATE: September 12, 2009. Faithful Feet is a mission project that was born here at Clovis Hills nearly a decade ago. Because one woman listened to God and heard Him say: you can talk the talk but you had better walk the walk. She listened, and Faithful Feet has been one of the largest mission projects with over 400 children served each year. In 2008, there was a record 200 volunteers serving within this project! Each year beginning in July new athletic shoes and socks are collected for elementary school age children. Then on a Saturday in September volunteers take them to El Encino Baptist Church in Southeast Fresno and share the news of Christ, wash the children's feet, fit them with a new pair of shoes and serve them lunch. During the week they will be building fences, painting, re-roofing and more. While they're here, we have the opportunity to serve them lunch each day at their job sites in Clovis.
